Welcome to the Northern Colorado training page. Please ensure that you are working within the Northern Colorado CoC (Larimer and Weld Counties) prior to registering for training. Trainings completed in other CoCs will not be recognized.
How to sign staff up for training:
- Submit Add NEW User for Training COHMIS 505 form - the agency DPAL or CAHPS liaison will complete the new user training request form. If you are a DPAL or CAHPS liaison and do not have access to this form, please submit a ticket to the HMIS team.
- Once the DPAL or CAHPS liaison submits the new user training request form, the staff member's LMS account will be created and they will receive an automated email with instructions on how to access the LMS.
- All training materials will be contained within the LMS including videos and quizzes. Course access will gradually become available as the user completes pre-requisite courses. For example, the NoCO CAHPS HMIS Data Entry course remains locked and inaccessible until the user completes the NoCO HMIS Training course and passes the Final Exam.
*Please CC the CAHPS Team on all Coordinated Entry training requests: cahps@nocococ.org

- CAHPS Training - provides a comprehensive overview of CAHPS, our Coordinated Entry (CE) system, including the purpose, household eligibility for CE, the different versions of our assessment tool, and information stored in HMIS vs other databases.
- This training is REQUIRED for anyone involved in CE and will be automatically assigned if Coordinated Entry is requested by the DPAL or CAHPS liaison when submitting the New User Training form.

- CAHPS liaisons and any other staff members with access to HMIS who plan on entering data into HMIS for CAHPS program enrollments and exits are REQUIRED to complete this training.
- To ensure high data quality, the number of staff training to enter CAHPS data into HMIS will be determined based on average number of assessments completed and staff capacity.
Forms Training
At some agencies, you may have staff members who collect information from clients, but do not enter data into HMIS. For this, we recommend completing the HMIS Intake Paperwork Tutorial, so those staff have a comprehensive understanding of all data elements on the HMIS Intake forms. This will help to ensure data collection is consistent and accurate. The format of this training is a video, and can be found here: HMIS Intake Paperwork Tutorial.
