This is the training page for Metro Denver. Please be sure you work in Metro Denver before registering for training. Training attended in another CoC is not valid. All training is currently conducted virtually on our LMS https://503-cohmis.talentlms.com/.
Only agency DPALs can register staff for training. DPALs will need to login to Zendesk and access the DPAL zone. Here DPALs can register staff for the LMS.
Once the completed request is received, the staff member will be signed up for the LMS and receive an automated email with instructions on accessing the LMS. It can take up to 2 hours for the courses to assign to staff after registration, please be patient.
All training materials will be contained to the LMS. To get login credentials to HMIS, end users will have to complete both HMIS 101 and the FY 2023 set of HMIS courses (Day 1-3). The HMIS training will be spread out over a minimum of 3 days.

Once the assignment has been completed by the end user, the system will automatically assign the next course 15 hours later.
HMIS Day 2
This section covers the prior living situation and disabling condition section of the enrollment. This course consist of videos and quizzes, as well as an end of day assignment. HMIS Day 3
Day 3 is the final day of training. This day completes the enrollment and goes over providing services, notes, assessments, etc. This course consist of videos and quizzes, as well as an end of day assignment. The end of day assignment will be a practical exam where end users will be expected to enroll into a specific program using the back story provided. Once the assignment has been submitted, the practical exam will be graded by the MDHI training team within 3 full business days (not including the day of submission). The assignment will be marked pass/fail in the system and a follow up email will be sent to the end user.
- Practical exam: After the day 3 training, staff will be sent a login to the training site and a fake character bio. Staff will be expected to enter the client information to the training website. Staff must showcase a proficiency in the system and a clear understanding of HUD concepts. If staff do not pass the practical exam, they will be given next steps on a case by case basis.
Once staff pass all of these sections, they will be issued login credentials to HMIS for their agency. If staff need access to OneHome, they will need to complete the coordinated entry course that will be assigned to them in the LMS.
Please follow the above process and email hmishelp@mdhi.org if you have any additional questions.

Question: When requesting training for new users, I was asked to supply a lot of info (not complaining, mind you) about the prospective users' programs and duties. Does this mean that their access will be more compartmentalized than in the past? How are you using this information? Thanks!
