Current process for training:
1 – The agency DPAL will email the help desk with a training request. Please include the following information so we can set up the appropriate training path:
- Staff name
- Staff email
- Name of the program(s) the staff is working (the way it is listed in HMIS)
2 – Once the completed request is received, we will create an account in the LMS and the trainee will receive an automated email with instructions on accessing the LMS. Students are expected to complete each course within one week of enrollment.
3 – All training materials will be contained to the LMS, including videos, quizzes and instructor led training registration. Staff will only be able to access the next part of training once they have completed the previous training. For example, staff will only have the option to access HMIS 201/Clarity Data Entry once they have completed the HMIS 101 videos and passed the quiz.
WHAT TRAINING DO I NEED?
HMIS 101/Policies and Procedures - This is a series of videos that everyone is required to watch followed by a quiz. To get started with HMIS 101, please log in to our LMS, Talent. If you do not have a login for Talent, please reach out to your supervisor.
HMIS 201/Clarity Data Entry - This course is required for anyone who will have access to our HMIS software, Clarity. It covers entering clients into the database, recording services received and exiting clients from program. Most of the course is self paced with an instructor led portion and a practical application exercise at the end.
Coordinated Entry - This course is customized for the role you will play in the Pikes Peak Coordinated Entry program. Every participant will take policies and procedures training, followed by either VI-SPDAT, HMIS data entry, and/or Case Coordination training.
